Our learnings by the Mediterranean Sea in a town called Vinaròs
The Province of Catalonia has many places to explore including Barcelona and Tarragona.
Art and architecture combine in the city of Barcelona, but my favourite part was the change in vibe.
We loved experiencing ex-pat French life in the city of Vannes, thanks to Pat & Katie.
It surprised us to find a big rugby culture in France. We often lost Pat to a fan who had stoped him to have a chat about the game.
Staying in Vannes with family was a treat. They took care of us, which included hospital visits and we were able to have lots of lazy days at home or roaming to the village.
Guillaume gave us the ultimate gift while we stayed with him and Geeta in Lyon: sharing his family with us.
Guillaume and Geeta are inspirational greenies. If I hadn’t lived with them for those few days I would’nt have known how easy it can be to play our part.
Highlights of the beautiful city of Lyon
Rentable bikes were very popular and police officers would wave as they drove past if they saw Lui pointing at them.
We came here to see a good friend. We didn’t realise we would also be seeing a beautiful city.
Our kids had been looking forward to this part of our family sabbatical the most – seeing their cousins.
Our kids wanted to play in snow so their uncle and aunt went out of their way to make it happen.
We had the opportunity to go to a Fasching parade in a town close to Memmingen which was unlike any parade I’ve ever experienced.
Months into our family travels, we have different reasons for choosing different destinations. The reason we went to the scenic province of Bavaria was to see this beautiful family, in fact, they were our number one reason for travelling to Europe.
Vehicles we spotted in Bavaria on our family sabbatical.
